What we support

Grouped the way your plan is

Your NDIS plan splits funding into Core, Capacity Building and Capital supports. We've sorted our services the same way, so you can see straight away which budget a support usually comes out of.

Core

The everyday supports that help you get through the week — personal care, help around the house, getting out and about. Core funding is usually the most flexible part of a plan.

Assistance with daily personal activities

Help with showering, dressing, grooming, medication prompts and getting ready for the day, delivered the way you prefer it done.

Household tasks

Cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, grocery shopping and the general upkeep that keeps a home running.

Getting started

Four steps, about two weeks

No obligation at any point. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so and point you somewhere that is.

  1. STEP 1

    Get in touch

Call, fill in the form, or have your coordinator send a referral. We'll ask what you need and whether your plan is self, plan or agency managed.

  2. STEP 2

    Meet, at your place

A free visit with a coordinator. Bring your plan if you have it handy — and anyone you want in the room with you.

  3. STEP 3

    Agree the details

We write up a support plan, a roster and a service agreement in plain English. You approve it before anything starts.

  4. STEP 4

    Meet your workers

You meet the team before their first shift. If someone isn't the right match, tell us and we'll change it — no awkward conversation required.

About Aorix Care

Small enough to know your name

We started Aorix Care after watching too many people cycle through a different support worker every fortnight. Consistency is the whole point: the same people, who know how you take your coffee and which days are hard ones.

We support participants of all ages across the Perth metro area, from Joondalup to Rockingham, and we work with self-managed, plan-managed and agency-managed participants alike.

Every worker on our team holds a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Working with Children Check, first aid certification and completed NDIS Worker Orientation.

Replace with a photo of your team or a participant (with written consent on file)

  • Choice and control

You pick your workers, your schedule and your goals. We fit around them rather than the other way round.

  • The same faces

We roster for continuity, not just coverage. Fill-ins are introduced before they start a shift.

  • Plain English

Agreements, invoices and plan notes written so you can read them without a support coordinator translating.

  • Say something

Complaints get a name, a timeline and a written outcome. You can also go straight to the NDIS Commission at any time.

Vacancies

Two SIL vacancies open in Perth's northern suburbs. Both homes have accessible bathrooms, a shared living area and active overnight support. Replace this block with your live vacancy listings, or link it to a dedicated vacancies page.

Common questions

NDIS, explained plainly

If your question isn't here, ask us. We'd rather answer it once properly than have you guess.

What is the NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is an Australian government scheme that funds supports for people with a permanent and significant disability. Rather than paying providers directly for a fixed set of services, it gives you an individual budget and lets you decide who delivers your supports.

Am I eligible?

Broadly, you need to:

  • Be under 65 when you apply
  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
  • Have a permanent disability that substantially affects everyday activities
  • Need supports that are considered reasonable and necessary

The National Disability Insurance Agency makes the final decision. We can help you gather evidence before you apply.

How do I apply?

Contact the NDIA on 1800 800 110 or apply through the NDIS website. You'll need evidence from your treating health professionals about your disability and how it affects you. If you're approved, you'll be invited to a planning meeting where your first plan is built.

What's the difference between self, plan and agency managed?
  • Self-managed — you pay providers yourself and claim it back. Most flexibility, most admin.
  • Plan-managed — a plan manager pays invoices on your behalf. You can use unregistered providers.
  • Agency-managed — the NDIA pays registered providers directly. Least admin, registered providers only.

We work with all three.

Do I have to sign a fixed-term contract?

No. Our service agreements have no lock-in period. You can change your supports, reduce your hours or leave with two weeks' notice. If you need to stop sooner because of a hospital admission or a change in your plan, we'll waive the notice period.

What if I'm unhappy with a support worker?

Tell your coordinator and we'll change the roster — you don't need to justify it. If you'd rather not raise it with us, you can contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544 at any time. Using the Commission never affects the supports you receive from us.

Can someone else make a referral for me?

Yes. Support coordinators, plan managers, family members, hospital discharge teams and allied health professionals refer to us regularly. Use the enquiry form and tell us the relationship — we'll contact the participant or their nominee directly to confirm they want to proceed.

Not sure where to start?

Call us and describe your situation. If we can't help, we'll tell you who can — there's no sales pitch at the end of it.
